online therapy for men, new dads, & their partners
Matthew Braman, LCSW
FOUNDER & CEO
Hi. I'm Matthew (he/him).
Husband. New Dad.
I'M GLAD YOU'RE HERE.
You have MANY options for therapists, and I'm thrilled that you may be thinking about working with me.
Many men don't typically seek mental health treatment. If they do, then they don't typically receive gender-sensitive care. Imagine working with a mindful and inclusive male therapist as your Right Hand Therapy Man.
Invest in your future, and empower your verve to experience more calm, more clarity, more compassion, more confidence, and more connection with your Self, your emotions, your career, and the people in your life now.
NASW VALUES = MY VALUES
Dignity and Worth of Every Person
Importance of Human Relationships
My values are intentionally adopted from the values of the National Association of Social Workers, which is the largest membership organization of professional social workers in the world, with more than 120,000 members.
I'm an active member of NASW. Therefore, I'm committed to the NASW Code of Ethics from which its values, principles, and standards guide social workers' everyday decision-making and professional conduct.
So, NASW Values = My Values.
noun: vigor and spirit or enthusiasm; energy; vitality.
Verve Psychotherapy is a modern & inclusive online mental health practice for adults.
Empowerment is a part of my brand. The Verve Psychotherapy logo is based on the "On and Off" digital power symbol. It's a universal symbol combined with my own spin to convey that therapy can empower your verve.
My approach to therapy is personalized, integrative, and emotionally focused on helping you feel seen, heard, and understood. Therapy moves at your pace. Our work is collaborative, and you can expect us to become partners while we safely guide you to promote mental health and maximize wellness.

I earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree in 2011 from Eastern Michigan University and a Master of Social Work degree in 2013 from New York University Silver School of Social Work. I'm a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the New York State Society for Clinical Social Work.
I'm a HUGE fan of Manchester United Football Club. I enjoy grooving to music by Durand Jones & The Indications. Meeting with my own therapist is very important to me. My superpowers are cooking in the kitchen, singing along with Elmo, changing diapers, and going on family walks with my wife, our son, and our puppy dog named "Emory".
