online therapy for adults in new york & georgia
Matthew Braman, LCSW
FOUNDER & CEO
Hi. I'm Matthew (he/him).
Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
Therapist. Registered Voter.
Husband. New Dad.
I'M GLAD YOU'RE HERE.
I help busy adults discover their core emotions and authentic self-energy to heal, grow, and build a life worth living.
Many men don't typically seek mental health treatment. If they do, then they don't typically receive gender-sensitive care. Imagine working with a mindful and inclusive male therapist as your Right Hand Therapy Man.
Invest in your life, and together we can empower your verve to help you experience more calm, more clarity, more courage, more curiosity, more creativity, more compassion, more confidence, and more connection with your Self, your emotions, and the people in your life.
NASW VALUES = OUR VALUES
Dignity and Worth of Every Person
Importance of Human Relationships
Our values are intentionally adopted from the values of the National Association of Social Workers, which is the largest membership organization of professional social workers in the world, with more than 120,000 members.
We're an active member of NASW. Therefore, we're bound to the NASW Code of Ethics from which its values, principles, and standards guide social workers' everyday decision-making and professional conduct.
So, NASW Values = Our Values.
noun: vigor and spirit or enthusiasm; energy; vitality.
Verve Psychotherapy is a modern & inclusive online mental health practice for busy adults in New York & Georgia. The theme of empowerment is part of our brand as can be visualized in our logo, which is based on the "On and Off" digital power symbol. It's a universal symbol combined with our own spin to show that we can empower your verve.
Our approach to therapy is personalized, integrative, and emotionally focused on helping you feel seen, heard, and understood. Therapy moves at your pace. WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT MATTHEW?
I earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree in 2011 from Eastern Michigan University and a Master of Social Work degree in 2013 from New York University Silver School of Social Work. I'm a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the New York State Society for Clinical Social Work.
When I'm not wearing my "therapy hat" during "the therapy hour", I try to enjoy being an imperfect new dad and house husband. My wife and I try to spend time traveling when we can to explore new neighborhoods, art, the outdoors, culture, music, food & drink, and fun family activities. I'm a HUGE fan of Manchester United Football Club.
